Instagram Update: Caption Editing and New Discovery Options
This week Instagram released another great update: The ability to edit your captions (yay!), as well as improved the ability to find great new accounts. It’s happened to all of us at one point or another: You upload the perfect photo, edit the blur and filter just right, and notice 10 minutes after the upload that there is a typo. You could just delete the post but it’s already gained a bunch of likes. You could just delete and rewrite the caption, but if you have any comments from users, you will have to delete theirs first. So of course, we at INK361 are super excited about this most recent update. Here is a quick and easy guide to show you how to navigate and use these new changes.
To edit your caption, click on the 3 dots on the bottom right, and a menu will display with “edit” as the second option.
You will also notice that the explore button has now changed into a magnifying glass. You can now browse both photos and people. They are dived into two 2 tabs at the top.
Lastly, you can now see in your notifications tab (the button with the heart), both your own photo likes, and photos that your friends have liked, separated in tabs at the top.
